I'd love to help, but blonde at home from your shade scares me..lol I would think you'd need to strip the color, deposit your color and then tone...following up with purple shampoo. It's all very tough on the hair so a Wet Brush, Pureology Hydra whip, and It's a 10 leave in are great products for blondes. A little Argan or Apricot oil after styling just dabbed lightly on the ends and through the hair will help seal in moisture. I'd also get Chai Total Protect and Iron Guard for when you blow dry and curl...but definitely keep heat use to a minimum. A great dry shampoo (I adore Matrix) will help prevent having to wash daily.

Thank you for your tips, Rozberry!! It terrifies me too, but I can't spare $160 to get it done professionally. :( My natural hair colour is a dark dirty blonde, but it's been so long, do you think my roots will come in dark brown? And I don't use heat of any kind, thank god, hahaha!

Since you are not currently dark blonde, you will need great lift on your current color. Violet based toners will cut that brass. Hopefully someone with more experience with home color will see this and be of help. Microtrims are a lifesaver for my own hair.

Garnier Fructis Hair Color nourishing cream in the shade "white chocolate" #111 that s a good box Color I've used it.I think it comes with a 30v developer so its pretty strong. you will probably have to use it 2 times so buy two boxes and then post a picture of what you have and we can help you from there:)

Or more than 2 box's your hair looks long and thick. I highly highly doubt it will work out at first. it will prob take several times. I went from your color to completely blonde now. and it wasn't a pretty journey. just don't get your hopes up. if you have healthy hair you might want to do it like I did I pulled my hair through the highlighting cap very heavy several times and started off that way eventually I was able to do it all over color.

I home dye my hair blonde all the time but I've only done it a few times from brown..
First I'd recommend is buying shampoo, conditioner, a big jar of intense hair masks and purple shampoo (and maybe blue shampoo too). Second you're going to need help during the process, otherwise you will miss places. Pick someone who you trust to be very throughout or someone who has done it a few times.
Next thing I highly recommend doing is to snip off part of your hair from the bottom of your head. Do the process on that piece of hair before you put any product on your hair, its the best way to avoid having orange hair or your hair snapping in half and having to shave your head.

Please don't use box bleach!! :( I just bleached from black/brown/red and learned everything NOT to do lol made it safely to purple though...

I did mine at home because I didn't want to pay a salon and ended up spending twice as much to get it done and save my hair lol
