I always fake tan and have used so many different ones but no matter what preparation I take or what tan I use my chest will not be the same color as the rest of me. I've tried applying multiple layers on just my chest and still nothing. I end up having to put makeup on my chest to make the the same color because its like 5 shades lighter. I'll include a picture so you can see the difference.

I have used a self tanner for about 2 years now and my chest is always lighter than the rest of my body. No matter how much product I use. I've always though this only happened to me. Lol.

I guess what I do is just really rub it in and I usually go over it twice like when I do my face and neck, I bring it down and blend into my chest and then when I do my arms and shoulders, I bring it into my chest again to blend. that does the trick for me! I'm sorry it's not really that much help. :/

My chest doesn't tan either!! I just use a tanning lotion with bronzer there to help it catch up.

Make sure that you are exfoliating really well before applying your tan. Also there are many great primers to put on before applying your tan, as well as specific body washes that evenly wash away a fake tan which will avoid blotching. Hope this was helpful.

Perhaps if you're putting tan on and then lying on your stomach or putting on a top it could be rubbing it off?

I've been super careful to put it on during the day and not wearing a shirt for hours so nothing will touch it. my chest just hates being tan haha.
