Hey! in jazz class they told us to wear a petticoat for a choreography for grease. do you fell like it would work? I did not know they wore petticoats back then? I thought we would be wearing black high waidted leather pants and a crop top?? anyway...do you have any reccomendation where I can get a cute one from? preferibly from the internet...and I thought of a blue one maybe? please answer :-*

I think the logic is a that they're as long as poodle skirts and such. Since petticoats go under clothes I really don't think there's such thing as a cute one...but I could definitely be wrong. Check out Joanne's Fabric or another fabric store

I like Pauline's a lot! But my understanding of a Petticoat is also something is worn UNDER other garments and isn't seen at all. I work at a theatrical supply store and we sell a bunch lol, some of the girlier ones are cute. And they seriously aren't even visible unless you want them to be, they just add volume to the skirt :)

At my job we call / sell them as "Poodle Skirts" :) They were popular in the 50s and they often had poodles / something on the front, hence the name, but they also come solid like in the pictures you posted! Searching Google should come up with about 60,00000 results if you type it in, if not try looking for like "Skater Skirt" or something, good luck! :)
