Hello beauties :)
so my friend has a real bad problem of hairfall and it is thinning a lot. any ideas to prevent it? she has coarse hair and uses an anti dandruff shampoo (head and shoulders). thanks :)

Try not to tie it up lots as that can cause thinning and be really gentle when brushing. Invest in a wide tooth comb or wet brush for brushing wet hair to reduce breakages and use a thickening hair mask x

I've spoken to my derm and stylist and breakage occurs when the hair is tight and binding. A loose bun with a non crimping silky tie is fine and what I sleep in without damage to the shaft. I agree a Wet Brush is a great way to prevent snagging and snapping and it is perfect for detangling. Joico shampoo is great for thinning hair. You can find it at Marshalls or TJMaxx. I'd avoid using heat and up her Iron and vitamin D intake. Spinach is a great source of iron and D is found in most dairy and fortified cereals.
That said, I'd recommend a complete blood panel to check for endocrine issues or a possibly deficiency in the blood. Significant thing and hair loss are often symptoms of an underlying issue. It is quick and simple.

I agree with Rozberry, your friend should get her blood work done. If she doesn't get the proper diet (ie vegetarian) she may deficient in b7, b12, or iodine.
She should also switch out her shampoo because head and shoulders is not suited for daily use because of such harsh chemicals. I really like herbal essence but most average shampoos will work. If you have the pleasure of living in India then Sunsilk Shampoos are amazing and they have a hairfall formula that did wonders for my hair. In fact, last time I stocked up on a few bottles and brought it back to the states because the sunsilk here is just blah :p
She should also do a hot oil treatment as often as she can during the week. The best blend for falling hair is coconut oil, amla oil, neem, and almond oil. mix equal quantities of this in a glass jar and then let it sit in boiling water so the oil gets nice and warm. then have her massage it into her head and let it sit for as long as she can (min 30 minutes) then wash it out with shampoo and conditioner.
It might also benefit her to start drinking tulsi tea :) I hope your friend's hair gets better
