But how come when you dye your hair with a permanent hair dye it fades? Or any dye fades how come?

Hair dye fades due to exposure to water, sun, etc. It's like any other dye; clothing fades with a lot of washing, paintings fade with exposure to lots of sum. Does that make any kind of sense? It's not naturally there, so it can fade with time.

A few things I do: keep your hair out of the water as much as possible. Dry shampoo is your friend, otherwise.

Sorry! It posted too early. Dry shampoo is your friend, otherwise, wash your hair first thing in the shower, keep the water exposure to a minimum (wet your hair, then shampoo it outside of the stream of water), and then tie it up, out of the water, for the rest of your shower. Use products with no sodium laureth/laurel sulfate and no sodium chloride, and I like the brand Pureology for my colored hair. Also, you can add hair dye to your shampoo and conditioner to help promote longevity.

Thank you I will look for those shampoo and conditioner without those ingredients and I have just started pinning my hair up because every Friday I deep condition my hair from the neck to almost the ends than I put a mask on my ends and I will alternate between the two
