A few tricks: line very slightly outside of your natural lip line, apply something glossy to the center of your lips only. Lip plumpers only work for very short periods of time, and only by irritating your lips.
In terms of palettes, get the one that you would use more.

My cousin owns the smashbox o-plump lip plumber, I tried it and I found that it actually did make my lips a little bigger, even though I do have quite normal sized lips. I don't know if it's worth the prize though, but like Hannah said, a line outside of your natural lip line would make them look bigger as well.

I love the too faced lip injection extreme its the best I've tride as for the palette it depends on what your missing an if your comfortable with color.
