Have you tried going sulphate, paraben and pthalate free? There's an anti dandruff shampoo by Jason that works soo well and is gentle on hair.

Massaging your scalp with jojoba or almond oil. Obviously, don't use too much heat! If you must then never skip out I'm heat protectant! A good one is the Got 2B guardian angel

Did your derm tell you to wash your hair every other day?

Cause with our hair that's pretty detrimental.

Oh I could never go natural. My natural hair is too unmanageable but I would think washing it every other day is still kinda problematic, for anybody anyway. Maybe that's just me and what I've learned from anybody and everybody. Props to everybody who can go natural!

Danielle is right we as African Americans do not need to wash out hair as often it just leads to dry flaky scalp and brittle hair.

Hun you only really need to wash your hair once a week for your hair texture,

See? I knew I wasn't nuts! Thanks Traci!! I only wash my hair once a week and deep condition it then too. Do you wrap your hair? Give your scalp a chance to produce the naturals oils that help your hair. You washing it out every other day only hinders it.

And do you use protective styles? Our hair needs a little more TLC than some. It's all about finding out what regimen works for you.
