You absolutely can :) it won't effect the brown, just the brassy/yellow tones in the blonde.

Purple is going to cut the brass, but not lighten. I love Pravana Light, but Fudge is also excellent. Sally has a dupe for Clairol.

Purple shampoos can be super drying and you will only see a little difference. To see instant improvement get a toner. I recommend wella t-18 with a 20 developer. Look up reviews on this developer if you are skeptical. I've been a blonde for 10+ yeats.
