Helllllooooo my loves!

Alright, so I've been really wanting to apply at a job at MAC for a while now, and I was wondering pros and cons for those who work/have worked there? I do know a good amount of people at my local counter if that counts for anything, and they call me to come in and try new products ect. I go at least every week and the artists know me by name. I know it's certainly not enough, but I was wondering how it is to work for them and if it would be the right place to apply for!

I have never applied there or worked for them but from what I have heard its all about selling you have to sell sell sell its like every other store lol from what I have heard lol

There is an interview process, you basically have to know how to create 'x' amount of looks in 'x' amount of time. retail is very important, as mentioned by lili, if you are called in for an interview, they interview you, ask you basic questions, if they are interested, they call you back and ask you to bring a model, or they will provide one for you and they ask you to create a a certain look, it can vary from "bridal" or a "runway" look. it really depends. once hired they teach you techniques according to what they do.

(of course not every single interview is the same, it really depends on the location and management)

Please know what MAC literally stands for and what the companies goals are! Impress them with the knowledge of the companies history, where they were founded, etc.
