Hey! My hair has a lot of layers and the one time I tried a sock bun I just ended up very frustrated. Anyone have tricks of anything that would help?
I feel like an idiot not being able to do something that looks so simple!

Did you try tucking and pinning the extra layers down?

There's a way to do it, rolling a sock around your ponytail. I dont remember the chicks name that does the tutorials but she also does the "celeb transformations".

My hair is layered too. Whenever I use my donut for my bun, I tease my hair all over, brush it back into a high ponytail, place donut onto base of ponytail, slide donut to the tips of hair, fan out ends over the donut (looking in mirror) once you can see that it's completely covered, start from the tips of your hair and roll the donut towards your scalp till it it is laying firmly against your scalp. Depending on if you want it to look messy or not you can pull out pieces & then secure with bobby pins or tuck your hair tightly around the bun. Spray with hairspray and Voila! This is my go to whenever I'm running late bc it's super easy once u get the hang of it!! Hope this helps you out!
