So don't judge I don't travel but tomorrow I am leaving for a work trip. Its the first time I have flown since all the luggage and carry on rules. Is there any size limits? I'm basically worried about my lorac foundation. I'm taking my lorac pro palette and naked basics.

Your palettes don't count as liquids. But your liquids like your foundation all have to fit into one quart size clear zip bag and no individual item can be over 3 ounces. Hope that helps.

Sorry the rule is actually called 3-1-1, which is 3 ounces or less per liquid item in 1, 1 quart plastic bag.

Ok phew..its 1.12 ounces. These rules are ridiculous and don't help my anxiety lol.

No worries, I travel all the time for work, so just stick to the mental rule that if you think they might consider it liquid (like lip gloss) make sure it fits in your zip bag. Have a safe trip.  :)

Kelly said it all. also be sure to pack your makeup items somewhere quickly accessible so that when needed you can put it out for security check :)

I honestly just put as much as possible n my checked back.. never had anything get damaged. ill b damned if they throw out my beauty products! ;-)
and as often as possible I bought my travel sized toiletries once I get to my location. most times when I used to travel all the time, I had a rental car n my first stop was always target for snacks n personal items.. all I carry is makeup n clothes.. :)

They will make you throw it out at the security check if they catch it or give you the option to get in a long line and mail it home b.

What bree said.
I bring as little as possible thru security. just check your bag. that's the safest as far as keeping your stuff goes.
Its supp to b uniform rules but I've seen different things at different airports

So I'll comment on this topic, I travel a lot for work, and regularly I'm in and out of a city overnight our in just a few days, you save both yourself and your company time and money if you don't check a bag when you only need a carry on. I pack my cosmetics (the dry ones, in a makeup bag) and all my 311 items in a plastic clear ziptop bag, I then suck those two bags in the front of my laptop backpack. I then pack clothes, shoes, etc.in a very small carry on bag, it's actually a little duffle bag. Just be conscientious that your carry on can not be more then 22". I have flown all over the world, literally, and have never had anything taken by airport security, be kind and be patient. Going through the checkpoint follow the rules. Put your 311 bag in one plastic container, your shoes and coat in another, remove metal objects from your pockets prior to going through security and put into your purse. If you are traveling with a laptop remove it from the bag and place in a separate container, then set your bags on the conveyor separately. You'll be fine.
