Are bridal shows worth the investment? Did anyone participate and get decent amount of bookings from the show?

I have talked with a very successful makeup artist in my area and she said she has done a few before and they were not worth it all. Worth of mouth and social networking works better!

Hello Liz and Ashlee,
I am in Northern Va close to DC and yes the table itself costs about $500 here plus other things if you need it. I read on other forums and discussions too that its not worth the effort so I also decided to drop the idea. Plus its out of my budget to do it right now. The area has planned 3 of them in the coming year and I wont be taking part due to the reason I feel its not worth it.

Yep I think I made the right decision. Most of the time these bridal shows try to attract vendors but to be part of it you have to have good financial backup plus can spend on these things and are established business

You should look into which ever bridal boutique does the fashion shows during the expo. Make a deal with them. For example, do 3 models faces free of charge. In return, the bridal boutique displays your cards at their booth. Also, a lot of the shows I've attended the models walk around for everyone to see their dress, jewelry, and makeup (they can also hand out cards for you)
