I have quite red cheeks and unclear skin. I use foundation (Maybeline fit me) which works but its quite heavy, I would really like something lighter for my holiday and thought that CC cream may be the answer. Any ideas, opinions, suggestions? X.

Yes you should give cc cream a go, I have tried quite a few bb creams but have never really been happy with the colour as I'm quite pale and even the light bb creams I've used have still been a little too dark but I tried max factor cc cream and it's perfect, perfect shade, covers skin nicely and leaves it lovely and soft, I'd recommend it :-)

Thank you all so much. How is the coverage in comparison to a foundation, does anyone know?

Give me a few minutes and I'll swatch/ try to find pictures of it versus a foundation for you.

So I tried swatching it with Loreal True Match for a comparison but the photo's were shockingly bad so I went through my photos and found a before and after using the Max Factor CC Cream. Hope that helps :)

Light to Medium for most BB and CC Creams. I like to use it light and if I want more coverage, a light foundation over it fits the bill.

Physicians formula definitely has two good cc creams. One is from the organic line and the other is just from the cc line. They are both the same price (around $13) and there is more of a shade selection at walmart opposed to target (two shades instead of one) look for the little sticker coupons on the products cause physicians formula always has them.
