I've seen a few pictures on tumblr with this, it's a matte nail polish with a shiny French tip (same color). But I was wondering where do I even get matte nail polish?

I would get a matte topcoat. It'll make any color matte. It's not hard to find. I use the NYC one and I feel like it does as good a job as any other brand!

Yea they use the matte top coat. There are plenty hard candy;sinful colors;elf;NYC.

I use the top coat from hard candy. I used to use the one from NYC, but I found that it didn't last as long

I have Matte About You from essie. I LOVE it, the finish is awesome but note: It is not a quick drying top coat - it needs a few minutes to set. I grabbed a bottle at Ulta for $10. It's sold in a box near their nail treatments. xoxo

The rimmel one is good for a matte finish but because its cheap it will only last a day or so before it chips. The opi matte is more of a satin finish than a proper matte. I think essie also do one but i havent tried it, nails inc might do one but iv forgotten what its called. Maybe we should petition for Seche Vite to do one, im pretty sure if anybody could give us a decent matte polish worth the money it would be them.

I like using a matte top coat because you can change any design into matte instead of buying 50 different colors. I have orly and I bought it on amazon.

I haven't done this look, but I do use a matte top coat from sephora (SEPHORA by OPI). It works great and my makes my manis last all week without chipping!

Yeah - don't pay extra $$ for expensive brands - NYC matte topcoat is awesome - and you get tons of mileage from a topcoat vs. a specific color matte.

I found matte about you by essie on line , but Ulta sells it also. It looks good over all polishes. I hope I could be of help it cost around $8
