It makes the shadow last longer and keeps it from creasing:) Some also help even out the skin tone and hide imperfections!

It sets you eyeshadow... When you don't wear primer your eyeshadow can just fade away during the day. (It doesn't stay on as long.

eye primer's main goals are to set shadow in place, keep it from creasing, & add vibrance to the colour. there are a bunch of different kind of eye primers (anti-aging, shimmer, matte, etc.), so make sure you find one that best suits your needs (:
