Maybe try waterproof mascara?
I don't know what you mean by a dark line other than it smudging?

Stephanie thank you for your reply. I meant that bcs the eyeshadow has a little wet/ creamy finish, when I open my eyes my lashes hit the shadow causing the mascara to rub off on the shadow therefore making a dark line.

Apply a powder shadow lightly over it in the same color.

This sounds to me like your mascara might be to wet in other words it has to much of a wet constancy I would change mascara, also try seting the shadow with powder 😊
