I've heard awful things about the Marc Jacobs Foundation. I can't back it up because I have tried it myself but if you check reviews of Makeup Alley they all say it looks awful on the skin.

They'll give you samples of all of them at different times, in store. I would ask for 2 at a time just to be sure.

Tarte doesn't last and has light coverage. really wanted to like it, but trust me and save your $ and time without that one.

I only have direct experience with the Tarte 12hr Amazonian clay foundation. I have relatively normal skin and wore it over Smashbox original primer and it was awesome. On the full coverage side, had decent staying power (not 12, but 8) even out in sun/heat. It's definitely matte. I'm excited that they expanded the color range since when I first tried it, I chose plain "light" and it was a perfect match. But like everyone said, get some samples if you can!

I have the Marc Jacobs foundation and it's very mediocre. It's a perfect match to my skin and blends wonderfully. I love the packaging and the pump that's on the bottle but the formula is very watery. It doesn't provide much coverage so if you're looking for a medium-full coverage foundation then this isn't it. It does last all day on my skin and I like that it doesn't settle into my laugh lines like other foundations. It's not a "bad" foundation but for $50 it's not worth the price and I'm actually considering returning it.

Hmmm not sure because I have dry skin... But the Sephora Airbrush one isn't bad and I like it but I have trouble figuring out the best way to apply it, but its very light/sheer coverage. I have tried a sample of Tarte but same thing w/ sheer coverage and it broke me out. As for Marc J, I haven't heard great stuff on their makeup. But definitely go ask for samples but they probably can't for the Sephora one, but I would ask what other foundations they would recommend for your skin type...(:

If you are or oily I really highly suggest Nars sheer Glow! It's super awesome! Other than that the cover girl three in one works really good too. The Tarte one does cover and last but it does tend to make pores look larger hope this helps.
