Is mascara bad to use?

Does it dry your lashes out? That's what my friend told me.

Don't use mascara over its expiry date (usually around the 6 month mark from when its opened) bacteria starts to develop in the tube basically.

It can...waterproof formulas tend to dry me out. I condition my lashes with coconut oil or sweet almond oil...which keeps them very soft.

I think almay and neutrogena have nourishing mascaras for drugstore!
