When first starting out I find it easier if you have a liner that is a bit firm. This gives you more control, than with a soft liner, liquid, gel ect. Make sure to sharpen the liner so you can have a fine point. You want to get as close to the lash line as possible. Squint and lift your eyebrow at the same time so you can get close to the lash line. The misconception is that you have to line your entire eye lid. Start at the center end at the outer corner. As you get better you can experiment with different techniques. Practice makes perfect. You can do it..!

It depends on where you want it. I put it on my water line. I just pull down my lid and draw it on.
