I'm sure you guys are sick of contouring questions, so I apologize. Even though I don't wear makeup on a daily basis, I still want to improve my skills. Now that I know which products to use, I'm curious about what the right brushes are. This is a huge area of confusion for me because there are so many different brushes out there that claim to be for contouring.
Any ideas?! Thanks.

You definitely want a fluffy brush to blend out any harsh lines. 💋 also, a flat top stippling brush can be for the immediate application of the contour. It'll create an airbrushed look 😊

I use a angled brush I just find it so much easier

I think this is one of those things where there is no right or wrong answer. What works for me might not work for you... You just have to find what brushes you like.

The best one has to be the nars ita brush! Contouring is incomplete without it! 😍😍😍

Do you ladies have a preference for any contouring kits?

I contour with Too faced Chocolate Soleil, but I also have the Anastasia contour kit. I love the real techniques contour brush personally. I wanted the Nars ita, but it's always sold out

For contouring I use the sephora contour brush which is amazing, I will show pics, and to blend out I also have a Sedona lace contour brush. Also bare escentuals made a face shaping v brush that is amazing for contouring too. The sephora is still sold in stores but I don't know if it's online. The bare escentuals is no longer made but you can find it on ebay or Amazon I'm sure. The Sedona lace is available at their site :)

I've been looking for the Ita brush (by Nars) for a while now and finally found out from my local Nars counter girl that it's going to be re-released and should be available for purchase next month. She was taking pre-orders. I'm excited to get it as I've tried a lot of other methods and I like them fine, but I want to try this one, too. If you want to get it, check with your local Nars counter and see if they're taking pre-orders as well. Good luck and let us know how it goes. :)

I don't know what you call these brushes, but the one that comes in the Kevin Aucoin Sculpting kit is perfect. I come across similar ones in the Milani Baked Blush Compacts & a couple of drugstore powders. They are good for precise application but you're definitely going to need a fluffy blending brush to fade it out for a natural look. Here are some examples.

Those brushes give a more precise application. Not all faces are the same shape & size, so finding a brush for your specific face makes application easier. Some people like bigger brushes because its faster, but I'd rather take my time with this. I don't want to look like I've contoured my face, I want to look like I have naturally great bone structure.
