So prom is in a few weeks and I'm making my own dress. I have a dress that in pretty much adding to, in the picture below, and I'm basically making it longer, adding sheer black and black lace layers. I'm also wearing the waist cincher in the picture. Now that thing is, I just found out the theme is "Grecian Gardens" with colors pearl, gold and olive green. Clearly my dress doesn't fit the theme, but I don't think it matters, it's my experience, my choice. What do you think?

I personally don't think the theme is relevant to what you wear. I think it's just for decorations & stuff. :)

Stick to your dress!! it's gorgeous!! and EVERY grecian garden needs it's persephone. ;) you can always do your makeup like a greek goddess as well. :)
