I have an English project for the great Gatsby and I wanted to dress up, does anyone have any simple ideas that are good for school?

Do you need outfit, hair, makeup, nails, etc. or all of the above?

In the 20's, flappers and women typically wore dresses that were a line (no defined waist) and had no sleeves and small straps- so anything like a flowy tanktop could work. lots of headbands and feathers, classic makeup. more lip than eye makeup but in movies like gatsby and Chicago they do lots of dramatic eyes lol. short bobs were in or you can recreate that by doing a bun-braid with a headband (the kind that goes across your forehead, not over your head) and a good pair of heels, costume jewelry? lol.

Avoid cat eye makeup, thats much more 50's. Drop waist dresses were incredibly popular. Definately wear a red lip, with either a smokey eye. that is the most 20's you can go! :)

High low dresses were also very popular.
