How do I get rid of dark patches? What are techniques or anything?

Hi Emily, a thread like this would belong in the "Skincare" section. It will be moved for you this time, but remember that in the future as incorrectly categorized threads are subject to deletion.

Hi Emily! Scarring? Nothing you use will take them away immediately, if so, no doubt it's too harsh for your skin. it'll take time to fade but try using vitamin E rich products like apricot kernal oil, vitamin E capsules (although doesn't smell that pleasant) or bio oil is great:) if dark spots are from the sun be careful and get it checked:)

Vitamin C is the best, and most natural, brightener. It works wonders.

Where do you have the patches? Is this a facial issue or on your body. I only inquire because it may be a health issue and I wanted to see if I could be of any assistance.
I had some on my cheeks after a long bout with illness. I got a peel from my derm and my skin looked flawless. My dark brown patches..gone. Fine lines...CYA! Dullness gone, baby gone. Texture felt like I was renewed. *swoon* That was five years ago. Since then, my derm has provided me with a Vitamin C powdery, silky, feels like velvet product that has kept my complexion bright. I also incorporate a LOT of vitamin C, E, D and Iron as well as water into my diet. Lactic Acid found in dairy also brightens...so you can apply PLAIN Greek Yogurt (no sugars) as a soothing and brightening mask. I like Boscia's white and black masks as well. They brighten the face nicely, but I've heard great things about GlamGlow.

Oh! You may want to consult a licensed Esty at a reputable spa. Honestly..I'd be lost without mine. They may be able to help you and are much less than a derm with treatments. Their knowledge is always very detailed and a great one will be honest about what will and won't work. It may be time to pamper yourself. Good luck. :)
