I can't go one week without buying at least one beauty item. But, most items get used a few times and then never again. I would say I definitely use less than 5% of my make up consistently.

Now I just do this... I found this heart shaped container and I put all my new products in it. That way I become adjusted to having them and I remember! It's helped so much ♥

Colleen I feel you! I won't throw it out unless it irritates my skin/eyes or it Is completely done or way old.

Kitty that's a great idea. Maybe I could even rotate my items and keep them by my mirror.

I give sooo much product away because I find I keep using my core favs. Great idea for lipstick storage!

I only buy make up about 4 times a year, but when I do...I buy plenty. A bulk of my money goes to skincare. It's so expensive. ugh.

I like Kitty's idea. I think I use almost 80% of what I own...but then I don't have a very huge collection...(but it is going to be huge soon I feel) :)

I think the thing I buy most that I don't necessarily "need" are lip products. Like when I was visiting home they had redone our grocery store to have a giant cosmetics section which included Nyx. Where I live now no one has Nyx except the stores near the mall which is an hour away. So they had a bunch I wanted to try so each time I went I got another lol. But I use all of them. (I did only get 3 but it was so strange buying a new lip gloss every week lol) They're all still in my purse and I usually use at least one each time I go out. I don't buy too much either though. I don't like a lot of drugstore stuff anymore so I usually wait to buy on Sephora's site and then I buy things I know I'll use. Sadly the things that probably get tossed or go unused are all drugstore things I try and don't like so I never touch them again, but I've stopped even buying a lot of it because I sort of know better by now that I probably won't love it. I use a lot of the eye palettes I have. I usually use a different palette every day. There are a few I don't touch much but I use a lot of what I do have. Nail polish too. I buy new ones a lot but I use a lot of them too. Nothing really goes to waste lol. If I'm not super interested I usually don't buy it.
