I'm greatly confused between bronzing powder versus contour powder?

Bronzer is meant to give your skin a glow, it has a warm/orange shade to it and usually has shimmer. Contouring powder is a grey toned matte brown powder, it is used to sculpt/define and mimic the natural shadows of our face

I'm going to diiiiiiieeeeee. This was brought up like literally three times today.

But anywho, bronzer adds a shimmery glow to the face. Contour gives the face depth and pushes things back.

Bronzer: orange undertones

Contour: gray undertones

Bronzer is placed where the sun would naturally hit your face, contouring is placed where the natural shadows of your face are ideally to make that place slimmer/more defined. Ie: cheekbones, nose jawline.

Lol I mean I understand if it hasn't been brought up in a few days... But it's easy to scroll down a little to check if it was asked recently.

@Nala, I totally agree. as soon as I saw this post I thought the same thing.

anyways, bronzers are warm toned & are meant to mimic a tan.
contour powders are cool toned & meant to mimic a shadow.

Agree with Nala and Maria. If you are looking for a thread like this, just type into the search bar up above! Good luck 💜

Maybe if the search function was better, this wouldn't be asked so much. When I try and search for keywords it brings me topics from 2012 and I have to scroll for miles until I'm at the current month/year. Pretty stupid.

I see beauty gurus using bronzer as contour so I never know what to think. All I gather is you want a cool toned bronzer if that's what you're using. Less orange, more gray.

Beauty gurus aren't as accurate in their knowledge in my opinion. They also refer to gradient eyes as smokey eyes.
