How can I go about dying my hair a lighter color than what I have now. (auburn brown). I'm thinking a strip of lavender or crimson red, but where?

what color would look good for my skin and I'm not sure I've ever seen colored tips done right..anyone have any photo they can spare?

You don't have to put the color that far up. Lol you could place it closer to the ends.

If you don't want to strip your hair color you'll be better off with the crimson. if your hair is dark you pretty much have to strip your hair if you want to do any pastels or cool toned colors.

Nala, youre right. my hair is super layered tho, I think that might pose a slight problem cause the back is actuallu shorter than the front. but I think I'm going to try with a non permanent color first.
