I'm pale too and I use self tanning lotions at home. I find that they look the most natural on me and the gradual tan is a lot better, in my opinion than just all of a suddenly being tan. But good luck!

I would suggest using a tanning lotion instead. The chemical used in both spray tan and lotion tan (dha) is safe only externally. With spray tan there is a risk of inhalation or mucus membrane contact. Though research is ongoing dha has been shown to alter the dna of live cells. With lotion you have more control on avoiding mucus membranes and no risk of inhalation.

If you do get a spray tan, make sure to get it from an actual person and not a machine! The person is trained and very precise and will cover everywhere and make sure to prevent streaks. Some places even ask a bunch of questions before and mix colors until they formualte the perfect tan for you!
I am also a big fan of tanning lotions too!
Good luck 💋
