I have a few freckles on my face and my foundation covers them quite well, but after a few hours my make up has completely faded, is there anything I can do which will help my makeup stay on long? I heard spraying hairspray over your face helps but does that actually work?

Yes hairspray does work but I wouldn't recommend it, it is bad for you

gross don't use hairspray, not good for you!! I recommend using a primer and a setting spray

I agree with Sabrina, hair spray on your face sounds awful. Start with a primer, smashbox has a few different primers to address different skin concerns. Then finish with a setting spray, UD all nighter is my favorite so far I believe it's $30 but you only need a couple sprays and you're set for the whole day

Try a more pigmented fondation. The Kat Von D foundation does an amazing job. The coverage is heavy duty and lasts all night.

Get a foundation that wears longer u can use Mac Pro Longwear or if u want something less expensive u can use Revlon color stay they both stay good during the day even in the summer , If u still need more staying power use Urban Decay all brighter spray but u don't want to use the spray every day as it can clog ur pores , make sure u wash it all of at the end of the day correctly and don't forget to moisturize (; hope this helps

Primer, setting spray or finishing powder helps keeps makeup intact, urban decay makes a great setting spray so does mac, smashbox and benefit have good primers and makeup forever and dermablend have good setting powders, hope this helps ;)
