My face is always super dull looking probably due to all the medications I put on, but nothing is getting rid of my acne, a product will help at first but then slowly stop working as well, so I have to keep trying new things and I have super sensitive skin so I don't know what to do anymore...the chemicals are ruining my skin but natural methods aren't enough to get rid of the acne I have. Any products, tips, advice?? I need help :(

Exfoliate in the places you don't have acne, ie go around the breakouts. I use burts bees acne facewash and say yes to tomatoes acne spot treatment. I use both products before bed and when I wake up. Both items can be found at Walmart and target. For a toner I mix one part water with one part apple cider vinegar and apply with a cotton ball after washing my face but before the spot treatment. The vinegar smells, but once it dries there is no longer a smell. using these items have helped me a lot

I hear you. Not sure what meds you are on, but I've been a walking chemistry experiment for seven years.
For my sensitive acne prone skin, the best thing I've found is Bliss Clog dissolving cleansing milk. It works as a cleanser and as a five minute mask. Traditional acne products with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide just make my skin worse. That stuff works wonders, especially as a mask.
Another great product is philosophy micro delivery enzyme peel. My skin doesn't like physical exfoliants, and most peels are too strong. That one is gentle and only takes 1-3 minutes once or twice a week.
And I hate to promote here, but this might interest you. I just started a beauty blog for the chronically ill. How to look good with the least effort, how to fake looking well when you aren't, things like that... Since you mentioned meds I thought it might interest you....

Oh, you said medications you *put* on, not meds you *are* on. My bad!

the only thing i know that could help is proactiv. if not then i definitely suggest its time to seek a dermatologist that'll prescribe a treatment custom to your needs

Do you stick with the medications for at least 3-4 months before you give up on them? And have you ever tried differin? I've been on differin and lymecycline for 9 weeks exactly. Last Monday I went for a check up with my dr and he said that my skin was about the same as when I had been to him 8 weeks before but he would prescribe me more differin and another 8 weeks worth of lymecycline because it usually takes about 3 months to kick in. Anyway! In this past week I think it has started to work because everyday my skin looks better. The differin has helped to get rid of a lot of my blocked pores and my skin feels so smooth everyday because of it. I don't know if you know anything about differin but what it does is speed up the skin cell turnover process. There can be side affects such as an initial break out and dry skin (neither of which have been bad for me) and you have to stay out of the sun as it makes your skin thinner. I like how it's making my skin look and feel, it's basically renewing my skin faster. In order for my skin to feel smooth I used to have to exfoliate all the time but since I've started using differin I haven't exfoliated once :) it's not for everyone but I love it! And maybe you've already tried if but if not ask your dr about it! And remember getting rid of acne is a long process, don't give up!
