I JUST washed my hair and got the dye out, and I noticed my roots are orange. So, from my roots to about 4 inches back BEFORE I dyed it, was the same color I just dyed it. I was covering up the blonde. So how do I get rid of the orange roots at home and without dying it again? Thanks xoxo🎀 this it what I meant by covering up the blonde. My hair was like this:

Let it dry first as hair usually seem darker when wet x

I see what happened! You can't just go from light to dark. You need a "filler" before you apply the hair dye of choice so the color you want won't be transparent or patchy. By a filler I mean a demi permanent color (without developer) just apply and leave it on for like 15 mins (possibly with heat too) then rinse and apply your color(on dry hair, not wet or it will only have a glossing effect)

Well see, I'm FULL BLOOD Irish so I have a very noticeable tint of red in my hair. So I'm guessing it'll go away.
