Because it has bare shoulders, I would wear a sweater. But that's just because my family is Catholic, your denomination might have different standards of dress.

@Emily; my church is very casual, I just prefer to dress up for church. They don't mind if you wear shorts, or even crop tops(which I personally don't view as appropriate for church, but to each their own). But thank you! (:

I agree with Emily about the cardigan. I wouldn't worry about what everyone else is doing. When we attended mass to hear my daughter sing in the choir there were people in Cub's jerseys and flip flops, they were dressed inappropriately. We didn't follow their lead.
