This is a question for people with layers or who have had layers :-)
So basically what are the pros and cons of your layers? Thanks!

It's hard to do braids cuz little hairs poke out. But, it's also gorgeous if your keep it down!

Pros: it looks awesome 😂 And you basically don't have to do a lot with it, just brush it and it looks nice. Atleast for me.
Cons: depending on the length of your layers, some hairs sticks out in certain hairstyles... Braids buns etc. but that can easily be fixed with spray , gel, or bobby pins c:

That is gorgeous!.. I have very curly hair, curler than that picture ^. Are layers good for curly hair too?

I've got curls too and I LOVE my layers, but I play sports so I have long layers so I can put it all up
Pros: it looks GORGEOUS
Cons: braids are pretty much impossible

I agree with all these girls but braid aren't impossible. I have layered hair and I love it. To keep hair from popping out of a braid you just have to twist the strands of hair in the braid.

Braids are the only con for me :) I've had layers for the past four years and I love them! little pieces just pop out of my braid like crazy and it annoys me haha :)

And I have curly hair too! Everyone loved my hair with layers when I started getting them :) you can't really tell now because my hair is too long but I'll be getting it cut again (with layers) hopefully soon!

Pros: when you keep it natural and down it looks really nice. I like the way it looks in a messy bun
Cons: side braids don't work with layers. And some hairstyles have little sections of hair that peek out with layers

Curly hair is great for layers, just make sure they aren't too short. A hairdresser made my shortest layer as long as my pinkie.
I have dominican ethnic curly hair... that was not her brightest idea nor do it do anything except make my curls stick up.
I didn't have issues with braiding, my hair is usually styled when wet so it stays where I put it.
It was fun to straighten though, because I could just throw the long layers behind me and people would assume I had a hair cut.
You can also fake a faux bob with it ( YouTube it, you basically curl your hair and pin it ) so that is definitely a pro especially if you feel like having short hair but don't want to cut it.

I've had layers for literally 6 years now and I have mixed feelings haha:P But mostly pros:)
Pros:
-They look awesome curled
-they add volume
-with longer hair and longer layers, management is easy and sometimes I don't even have to do my hair
-My ponytails have a pretty shape and volume to them naturally with the layers
-I don't have this personally, but if you have/want extensions, they blend really well with layers
Con's:
-Braiding is almost impossible with lots of layers, even with hairspray and bobby pins...its just a hot mess.
-putting it my hair up in a quick messy bun is also very hard to do but if time isn't a problem then the messy bun ends up okay with some products and bobby pins.

But I recommend having layers if you're thinking about getting them, its less management and your hair will pretty much always look good:)
