Blackheads are pimples there closed comedones just a whitehead with a opening that air has gotten to ,salicylic acid products help to penetrate the pore wall and clean it out

Traci is a gem. :) I would try a great mask once a week. Boscia makes some good ones, but Queen Helene and a few other drugstore brands are also very nice. I've heard good things about Glamglow, but that's pricy. Nuetrogena makes a salicylic astringent called "Clear Pore". They can be sometimes drying so be sure to use a gentle moisturizer like Cetaphil or CeraVe.

The best luck I have had with ridding my skin of literally ALL blackheads (and I would get these tiny, deep ones on my cheeks even that drove me crazy, although I never dealt with any ice pick scarring) was using the oil cleansing method. I use castor oil and jojoba and the castor pretty much pulls the out of your pores for you. As Traci said, blackheads are hardened sebum (oil) trapped in your pores, and since oil dissolves oil, this method can work wonders for blackheads. As for the ice pick scarring I have read of many successes using TCA peels but those are dangerous in the wrong hands. Research thoroughly. As for the oil cleansing method here is a great place to start:

Deep peels are not recommended for deeper skin tones ,you can try using Alpha hydroxy acid products also,Dr Dennis Gross peel pads ,or Peter Thomas Roth complexion correction pads but they both do tingle, but you may not be exfoliating enough, and oil cleansing didn't work for me but it may for you it's all trial and era and figuring out what your skin likes ,you can also try using retinol that combined with my clarisonic got rid of mine I haven't had a blackhead sence

And what moisturizer are you using?

If they are old clogged pores coming out little by little then keep cleaning. The products you use sound good and those clogged pores have to come out somehow. I had such bad skin it took a year of using my Mia to get all the clogs out. If they are popping up on clear skin I would definitely check my makeup. If it has any kind of mineral oil it can cause oily skin to clog up fast!! This happen to me recently. Which hazel is an awesome gentle yet effective toner. Also purity is great for removing makeup before clarisonic but may not be enough for oily skin alone. I use purity to remove my makeup then use clarisonic with an aha cleanser. Oily skin needs a ton of exfoliation cuz the oils slick down the dead skin cells and make them harder to remove. Good luck girl!! I feel you I have the same oily skin problems😫

After all if Traci's raves on retinol I had to try it out. It seems like it's not an instant improvement but after a few weeks of a few days a week I definitely notice smoother skin!!
