If you're busty, then the bra has chances of sliding down when you're dancing :( but if you're not, you can definitely find some good ones at Victorias Secret.
Celebrity stylists sometimes use duct tape wrapped tightly under the bust to give a lift coz the boobs are squished together if that makes sense lol, but you can definitely try looking up such videos on YouTube. :)

I actually had a pair. they look great but if you dance a lot the might slip away because you ll sweat. if you have a tight dress they might work.

If your dress has a closed back, you can wear a regular strapless bra instead of one of those stick on things. then you'll know for sure it won't fall off during prom!

Yes they exist.
I have both strapless and backless bras
Since your dress is just strapless, just go with a strapless bra. Victoria secrets has some nice ones :)
If you have trouble with you dress sliding a little to where it shows the bra, just pin it to the dress.

Whatever you do do not use duct tape use tape that is meant to be on the skin like sports tape. I frequently have to open chest bind which requires using tape to hide my chest. Duct tape can and will rip off your skin. While others may have had success many many cosplayers have horror stories of using duct tape. So use sports tape if anything.
