If your hair is black, then no.. I don't think you can avoid bleaching it. But the color is nice :)

if you're going from black to another colour, I'm pretty sure you need to bleach it,
however, I could be wrong. I'm no hair expert, lol.

If you dye it a color over black, it will just give your hair a tint. It would give it like a red tint in the sun.

You could try Loreal hicolor highlights in Magenta. It doesn't require pre bleaching and it worked wonders for me. c:

I agree with maddie. Just don't use a 40 developer with it if you want it that dark. I love loreal hicolor in magenta. I miss having that color.
