HELP!! Haircut prices?!

I've never had my hair cut before so I was wondering how much do they usually cost?

The stylist I spoke with about my cut quoted me $55. Is that high?

It depends on where you go to get it done. A place like fantastic Sam's is going to be cheaper than a high end salon. But you will receive a better cut at a salon. Then at Salons they have different levels, the higher the level the more expensive it will be, but the more expensive the better the cut :) I think 55 is good for a cut if you trust the stylist, but if you are making a big cut, I would recommend going to a really nice salon, but the prices can run up to twice that quote. When I cut my bangs I paid more for an experienced stylist, so that I didn't regret it.

I honestly wouldn't say any of the stylists in my area are high end
