So basically I've recently noticed that I have really visible stretch marks on the top of my legs I've been using bio oil but it really doesn't seem to be helping, I'm so self conscious and with the summer coming I'd love to be able to wear shorts
just wondering if anyone has anything that has helped them?? N x

I've used bio oil and it did work for me but it took forever. In summer when I feel like my legs are the worst thing ever I usually apply gradual tanner (I like the garnier one) that always seems to make me feel a bit happier because it covers what you don't want people to see. Just a suggestion :)

Maderma didnt help me. So I just embraced my imprection buut you can try exfolianting there.

(When I can be bothered) I just use a regular body lotion or body butter and massage in quite roughly. My other says you have to get the blood back to flowing properly not sure how true that is but it does help!:}

Mederma helped me with newer stretch marks to reduce the sight of them you will still have the indentations of them but you can reduce the redness from them.

Bio oil has been helping me a lot, it takes time but I see a difference, I also exfoliate.

I use cocobutter cause I'm losing weight and I apply 2xs a day n my stretch marks are fading significantly.

If the stretch marks were due to rapid weight gain then yes losing the weight will also make them go away

👆 I'm pretty sure that's incorrect, you can get stretch marks from both losing and gaining weight, growing taller, etc. Losing weight won't make them go away, they're like scars, all you can do is try to fade them.

If they are new and reddish pink they will fade gradually overtime lightning on there own so they won't be as noticeable turning a bit lighter then your skin. using a retin-a (prescription from a derm) can help a bit. other then that lazer or chemical peels would give you the most dramatic results.

Well mine went away after I lost weight n mine were due to rapid weight gain :) I used mederma too and that helped a bit but scars can heal the way that they heal will depend on your genetics so not everyone's scars heal the same way or the same amount of time

Dr Berg teaches an oil and massaging method: http://www.drberg.com/blog/body-conditions/how-to-lose-stretch-marks. That and skin brushing are working for me. I use Mia Campbell's skin brushing method but I guess any skin brushing is going to help the skin.
