Ulta recently sent me a $5 off coupon and I was thinking about buying the Clarisonic Mia (I think 2). This would be my first Clarisonic brush and I am a little scared of trying it because I hear of the purging stage. My skin is fine the way it is now, but I would love to go to the extra level of cleaning it, I just don't want to break out. If you have the Clarisonic (any brush), please leave your experience and let me know if it's safe to get or if I should just stay away from it. Thanks!

I have the Olay ProX and I love it. I would like a Clarisonic, but I don't feel like I can justify the purchase since the ProX works so well for me. Whichever brush you decide to get, I do think that it's worth it. My skin was good before, but I've noticed a real decrease in my hormonal acne and my skin just feels and looks so much smoother and softer. I didn't really go through too bad of a purging stage, but even if you do, I think it's worth it to get all of that junk out of your skin. Dealing with that is so worth the end result. Let us know what you decide!

Remember that this lil tool exfliolates the skin so to keep irritation to a minimum do not use a exflioating product in addition (like a scrub) unless you enjoy a little cystic acne and unhappy irritated skin. This little gadget has given additional business to dermo's because folks go in wondering why their skin is acting up. Women using this twice a day plus using a scrub or a serum with a high level of exflioation. *sorry for the misspelling...spell check is off*

Just so you know, the $5 coupon does not work on anything from the Clarisonic line. I work at ULTA and get this all the time. However, any points that you have from your rewards card do work towards anything on the store. Same goes for prestige cosmetics.

QVC sells the Clarisonic Mia 2 and you can pay payments. They even ship it to you with your first payment. I have been thinking about getting it. I buy lots of beauty products from QVC and they have name brand QVC exclusive deals too.

@Mandi...yes! My dermo was telling me how he saw patients using both together at the same time or some using a traditonal scrub after they used the Clarisonic. He suggest to his patients to only use it three times a week using the sensitive skin brush and leaving the topical stuff out of rotation till the skin gets acclimated to the Clarisonic and just rotate between the two depending on how the skin is behaving during any given week. Too much of a good thing can do more damage than good.

I used the Olay version of the Clarisonic and was not impressed. I have combination trouble skin and recently bought the newest Clarisonic from Sephora and I am in love with it! It's expensive, but well worth it. The purging stage wasn't as bad as you think and my skin has really changed!

Hi everyone, just a little update. I have have purchased the Mia 2 back in December and have been using it since, and my skin has really improved! It "glows" now and I have not experienced any kind of purging. Thank you for all your input!
