I have a lot of tattoos but I don't know anyone where I live with permanent MAKEUP. I'm sure I'd know people back home with it in California but not here in this smaller city (Buffalo). does anyone else have it(if so, pics!)? what are your thoughts? I'm going for my second application for my brows today and I'm really really pleased thus far!

I have a couple of friends with it and it looks beautiful and was done with a light and skilled hand. They simply darken or thicken those areas. I personally would not do it because I do not feel I need/want it, but they love it. Wish you the best. :)

It's truly lovely, they had one called 3D stroke where they draw on each individual eyebrow hair and they had one called Powder Brow which is what I got. It's nice not having to worry about symmetry but mostly I had a scar on one eyebrow that just made it so hard to get things aligned with!

One of my friends mums has their eyeliner tattooed on :) she loves it, whenever I see her she's on my case about getting it haha, it isn't too bold but still saves you putting on eyeliner :) or eyebrows, whichever you have or like💕

Oh definitely I hear about cancer survivors and people who have undergone chemo all the time, I'm so glad they have that option! the place I go to gives discounts I think. hopefully they all do, they deserve to feel beautiful. when I'm done with cosmetology school I almost want to see about doing this!

You have to keep in mind not to do a 'trend' colour and style, also, all black will over time change colour and have to be redone, also, skin changes elasticity in different places at different rates. X.

There are few things I hate more than permanent makeup. Okay, maybe that's dramatic. But like Cass says- trends change. Right now thick eyebrows and thick liner are in. What happens if the 90s super thin eyebrows come back? (GOD FORBID... seriously someone knock on wood) And your skin changes. Are you really going to want to be 80 with eyeliner on all day every day? I mean maybe its just not for me. My very first paying client ever came in with permanent eyeliner and I could have just melted on the floor right there. I was already nervous and then to have to deal with trying to blend on top of a permanent tattoo line? The versatility just isn't there once its permanent.

I really love the way they look, however I dislike that you can not change it up as far as brow shape when you want to. Depending on the look I'm going for I make mine darker, lighter, thinner, thicker, a tad bit closer together, etc... And I like having that versatility. It's all about personal preference though! I always say... If you like it, I love it!

I would love to get my brows done but I'm kinda holding back, only because I've seen older women who have done it and it doesn't look really good because as we get to an older age our face kinda changes. So I'm going to think about it.

My mom and cousin have permenant eyeliner and they both love it! My mom also had them fill in her brows a little bit bc she's getting older and that get sparser as you get older (my mom wil be 53 in May) I'm too afraid to get it done- I'm a kidney & pancreas transplant patient and since my transplant I have no immune system (partly from my transplant and partly bc I had to go through 14 rounds of chemo to get my transplant) and I would hate to get it done and end up getting an infection that could possibly make my body reject my new kidney and new pancreas! Sorry so long! Anyway I still don't know if I was able to get one if I would! But to everyone who thinks it's for them and goes through with it good for them! Do what is right for you! :),BTW your eyebrows look awesome!!

As far as trends and such, as you can see, I doubt mine will go out of style. I guess some people might get drastic makeup but classier places do the liner and brows on your natural line. my permanent brows were done with light brown pigment over my natural brow shape.

I think old techniques are far in the past. with the pigments used today, it wouldn't be a nightmare when you are older. not to mention, people who get permanent makeup now (and are worried about "what they will look like when they are old" are probably also interested in getting it when they are old too! I know I will be interested in some sprucing up!) not to mention, as they say, when I am old and wrinkley and have aches and pains and arthritis and dementia, I doubt I'll care about what my liner has faded to? I don't know. I think women with it look absolutely great. I say go for it. there is always new technologies coming out and if you don't like it later, chances are there is a way to make it better and better! yay science! makeup is makeup :)

Also, the pigment used on my brows and used on many brows today, also called permanent, will most likely be long gone within five to seven years. as a touch up is recommended every two years. you can see in the above photos how much it lightened in just two weeks.

Makeup is a industry based on "trends". What you find beautiful now, may have you like 'what the hell was I thinking' a decade from now.
That's the MAIN issue of mine.
When I look at my pics from a few years ago...smdh🚫🚫🚫🚫 but back then I thought I was the BOMB! Lol
