I trimed my hair not too long ago because my ends were super rough and didn't feel smooth like the rest of my hair. I don't really use heat on my hair so I'm not sure what could be causing this. what can I do to improve my ends without having to trim it all the time?

Joico has a really good mask that you can put on your ends and it's called a deep penetrating reconstructor and it's really good. Or even the split end mender by AG or Ego Boost by Bedhead are all good. I've used them all and they all helped me out with mine.

Maybe product build up? Do you use a bunch of product in your hair? Sometimes I have problems with my ends being super dry feeling and its always because of buildup :)

I agree with Jordan. You might be using too much leave in conditioner or heat protectant when you do straighten your hair and that can cause your ends to feel and look rough. That happened to me once when my mom used too much Mizani leave in conditioner in my hair. If you're not doing any of this, then do you ever wear your hair natural? When wearing your hair natural, you need to put a lot of moisturizing products in it, like leave in hair masks or hair lotion and coconut oil, but when you do decide to straighten it, wash your hair with shampoo, condition it and then use only a little of the heat protectant products or whatever you're using. Your hair will feel so much softer, look fuller and it will be healthier. Also, oil your ends with pure coconut oil or Softee Hemp Hair grease, which you can get at the Dollar Tree. It smells good and it works amazing!

-Sorry for the long post. This is all coming from experience.
