I have dandruff and would really like to get rid of it. :( Problem is I have purple hair and would like to keep it that way. I tried using Head and Shoulders and it stripped the color from my roots in a single wash. So I bought Matrix Biolage Antidandruff Shampoo hoping for better results. My scalp feels great but my color is still a mess! What's a girl to do? Can anyone suggest anything I can use for dandruff that won't strip my hair color? A friend suggested using a ph balanced shampoo? Any thoughts and suggestions on that?

I heard coconut oil can help with it but I don't know if it's true

Crush up 3 - 4 zinc supplement tablets and keep it in an airtight container. Every time you wash your hair add a pinch of the crushed zinc to your favorite shampoo :) It won't strip the color and zinc is an active ingredient in most dandruff shampoos! I hope this helps

Selsun anti dandruff shampoo is really good, worked wonders for me just after two washes. My doc recommended it but I don't know whether it will strip your colours off (I have natural hair).
