Since childhood, I have used distilled water and lemon juice once every other month as a natural way to remove residue and product build up. My grandmother taught me this. Lemons *can* be part of a nature based beauty regimen, but only when used in conjunction with proper research and care. Lemons are acidic and can be harsh when used at full concentrate. So no..I would not let lemon juice sit on my hair or to lighten it.
