Everything I've read about it says how good it is for oily/acne skin since "oil pulls oil" Using a towel with very hot water to dissolve and wipe the oil off also seems drying. Who can give me the bottom line on this please?

No, it will not as long as you get the ratio of castor oil to carrier oil right. If you have dry skin or find the OCM is drying you out you can do one of two things:
1. Use less castor oil in relation to the carrier oil (grapeseed or sweet almond are the best in my opinion)
2. Once you rinse with the towel and hot water, and are done, apply a tiny bit of whatever carrier oil you are using as a moisturizer afterwards.

Thanks Amy, I think I needed reassurance that I was not drying my skin out instead of pampering it.

When I started doing OCM. The first few weeks I felt like my skin was a little oilier than usual. I feel like it takes a few weeks for you skin to adjust. I haven't used castor oil. But, have used several other types. My skin was very dry before I started & now it more normal than ever. I honestly love OCM it's the best thing I've tried. Good luck!!

Vanessa, I've been doing it for a while and not using any castor oil. I guess it's been soooooo dry this winter that no matter what I did my skin would be dry-yay for Spring!
