I'm just wondering if the clarisonic is really a necessity?

What's your skin type? If you're sensitive just forget it. It doesn't do anything a face wash can't. Not worth it.

Personally, I find it to be the only thing that makes my skin feel clean. I like that it's easy to use with any face wash, and I like that it uses sonic vibrations to shake loose any gunk in your pores. That's especially nice for me because I'm blackhead prone. I think there's also a misconception that it spins/rotates/harshly exfoliates...it doesn't. It really only vibrates and how you move it around your face is up to you :)

Hannah is spot on. It is definitely not for everyone but overall I think most people generally get really good results with it. It's important to know that it doesn't spin or rotate like the cheaper "dupe" brushes do, so it is gentler on the skin. It doesn't tug or work the skin back and forth. It just pulses and that helps bring anything out of the pores. Like Hannah, my face doesn't feel truly clean until I've used it. It does give a much deeper clean than just your hands alone. And if you're sensitive, a HUGE part of having a good experience with it is to make sure you pick the right brush head. I think some that have issues with it causing a lot of sensitivity don't realize how many brush heads there are and that they all have a different softness. The device comes with a sensitive brush but it can be too harsh even still. If you find the right brush head for your skin I honestly feel like you shouldn't have any problems. It's a lot gentler than people make it out to be, at least in my personal opinion.

Honestly,
I have very sensitive skin and it was too harsh for me. However, I think it's worth the price if you have skin that can handle it!

I love my clarasonic and I agree with Hannah! Also before I was so afraid well not afraid but I didn't feel as pretty if I didn't wear foundation and now sometimes people ask me what foundation do you use and there's times were I don't have any... And my dad noticed the difference and he never notices anything lol.

Beth what do you prefer about the luna?

I love my Clarisonic!! It is honestly worth it. Every single skincare product you apply from then on out is going to work so much better, your makeup looks better, your skin is cleaner and in turn you end up using less products.

CLAIRE: they now have a luxe brush head line so its amazing for sensitive skin.

I've been wondering about the new Luna products, soley because you don't have to replace any brush heads so I'm curious as to why you prefer it as well Beth.

My skin has cleared up sooo much since purchasing my clarisonic. However, along with choosing the right brush head, another big reason why people are experiencing sensitivity is just scrubbing too hard with the brush! It cleans so well, that the extra scrubbing causes irritation. Be gentle with the brush and find the right brush head for you. Personally, my skin is normally verrrrry sensitive and irritation prone and I use the deep exfoliating brush head which is supposed to be one of the harsher brush heads. I say go for it, I love mine.

^ Agreed, you really don't need to scrub at all. All you have to do is hold it gently to your face and move it from area to area. It does the work for you really. There's no need to grind it into your face lol.

My skin isn't any more sensitive than the next gal's. I haven't dabbled too far into the world of skincare but the scrubs I've used haven't made me wonder if my skin was falling off.
