So I have light brown hair and I've been thinking on dying it red. the problem is I don't want to destroy my hair cause what if I don't like how it turns out? is there any way possible I can know how it would look like before straight dying it? or something I can do so it doesn't get too damaged? anything?

Also, my advice to you would be to use a vegan dye because it'll come out brighten that a box dye on light brown hair, I recently made the mistake of using a "vibrant red" box dye and it didn't come out that bright at all, it really depends on the colour you want. This is how mine came out so if you used a vegan dye like fudge or manic panic it should come out a better red.

Vibrant red was exactly what I had in mind! is there anything I need to do first? like bleach it? (it's my first time dying my hair, so I know nothing)

If you want it to come out a very bright red I'd at least suggest pre lightening it a shade or two, personally I really like the shwartzopft L+ dyes because they're like bleach but a lot less harsh on your hair but have the same effect with lightening. Your hair should lighten very easily if you've never dyed it before so going red would work very well for you with minimal damage :) I'll find a picture of the bleach/blonde dye I'd suggest to avoid actual bleaching.

Yes!! manic panic is so amazing!! I used rock n roll red on the ends of my hair WITHOUT BLEACHING and it still came out a really vibrant red!!

You should use henna cus its soooooo good for your hair as it doesn't have any bad chemicals in and it will turn out a really good colour!!

Yes henna can be good for your hair but you can't dye your hair lighter if you use henna, only darker. I don't recommend it because it's your first time dying your hair.

I just dyed my hair red! My hair was already bleach blonde, so no further bleaching was needed ( but if your hair is darker I would recommend it). I used Splats colour "intense red", it also comes with bleach to lighten your hair before you dye. I'm really feeling it and am happy with the results.

If you wanna go bright then your hair should be lightened to a level 7 at least :). You could also try loreal high color highlights in either red or magenta. I like to go on top of it with a semi permanent dye so it's even brighter and it seems like the color last longer
