Will I have to bleach my hair? :(

I'm going to a high end salon (soon) to get my hair dyed. My hair is naturally dirty blond/ light brown (depends who you ask) but I've heard you have to bleach your hair if it's my color.

If you're going darker, you shouldn't need to bleach it.

You don't need to bleach it if you are going dark or light since youve never had color before you can lift it with just color and higher developer.

Everything Hali said. Color will not lift previously colored hair, but it will lift virgin hair. since you've never colored your hair before then there's no need for bleach :-)
