When I take pictures with flash my makeup doesn't look good, but without its look great. What can I do to avoid this? I'm currently using Kat Von D foundation.

My face always comes out lighter than my body and right now its been looking worse since my skin has been really flaky and the more I blend the foundation I get more patches.

According to Jacqueline here on beautylish it isn't your spf that is casting the white look. There are several factors that can play into it and certain ingredients that can cause this to happen. I know that she can really break it down for you so that you can understand it better. (since I am no expert at all and I am just trying to remember what she had said)..If she doesn't see this thread then I would just comment on her page.

In pictures I have one phrase. Lighting is key. It may not be the make up. The more light in a picture the better.

@renay I don't use spf at the moment and I know its no bueno. I exfoliate, but I still get these patches of flaky skin. I was matched at Sephora so I don't know if I'm wearing the wrong undertone.

@renay I know I've been trying with a beauty blender, stipple brush etc. I feel like returning it already and sticking with my Clinique.

You girls have any recommendations for a foundation? I've tried out the Tarte Foundation and powder version and the kat von d one. Lol I imagine the girls at Sephora are going to be like this girl doesn't like anything.
