Sounds to me like what you really want is a good BHA product. BHA will exfoliate the skin and help to dislodge sebum that is blocking your pores, which will make them appear much smaller. Unfortunately, from what I've read, if your pores are truly enlarged due to poor skincare in the past, the "shrinking" effect of any product is only temporary. As with many other ski. issues, you have to continue to treat the problem, if you want to maintain your results.
Personally, I use Paula's Choice 1% BHA Lotion morning and night after cleansing and toning my skin. The 1% formula doesn't cause any irritation and the fact that it is a lotion keeps it from being overly-drying as well.

L'oreal pore vanisher is supposed to make pores look vanished instantly and shrink over time! Check out reviews about it.

I agree with Elizabeth. it is actually a myth that you can shrink the size of pores. exfoliate well, and use a toner. also holding an ice cube on your pores can make them appear smaller but this is only temporary.

Thanks girls, yea I know you can't shrink them which really sucks, just something that hides them well.

For me, Koh Gen Do's makeup color base in pearl white is the unicorn of all primers and products that reduce the appearance of pore size (and imperfections in general.) It's cinema quality (the line itself has over 400 flim and tv credits) so it's long lasting (can you imagine makeup that lasts under all those hot lights?) and has a gorgeous soft focus effect (which is needed when working with red lens.) Also, among the long list of primers, it has the least amount of silicone which means your pores can breathe; further down the line that equals less gunk buildup and maintenance of natural pore size.
