I've been dealing with dry skin all my life. But this winter it seems to be extra challenging. AndI'm worried because the cold weather is just starting.
I have rough, dry flaky skin all over my legs and arms. Dry skin on my face. I can't take. Someone please help with any products you've had luck with.

have you considered seeing a dermatologist? I have seen clients with mild cases of dermatitis during the dry and colder seasons. if that's the case, some OTC products can just add irritation.

Use a gentle cleanser (non foaming), try to skip the toner and if u do use it make sure it's not alcohol based. Hydration serum is very helpful ( i recommend either NeoCutis's Hyalis or SkinCeutical's B5 Hydrating serum) ...this combo will usuallu eliminate the need for a moisturizer but if u want extra umph then i recommend usi g SkinCeutical's Skin Firming Cream..it's for aging skim but works extremely well on younger skin too

Exfoliation is def the key. I use a Japanese scrub cloth called Salux; it's on eBay for $5
Also a good AHA soap. I like Likas papaya soap, also eBay for $6 a bar (generous size lasts a month at least)

Try putting aquaphor all over your dry areas & face before bed. Also, make sure you drink a lot of water to keep your skin hydrated.

I have dry flaky skin as well... My family doctor recommended lubriderm.. It works miracles!! After 2-3 days your dry skin will be gone, completely. Only thing that worked for me:)

I mix Vaseline Body Oil Gel in with my lotion. I apply it everywhere as soon as I get out of the shower to lock in the moisture.

I exfoliate every other day or so. I also use a Japanese scrub cloth called Salux; it's on eBay for $5. Watch out for the fakes though. A lot out them on ebay and amazon. Got mine at the saluxshop. I use organic soaps. Really like goatsmilk soaps. Stay away products containing SLS sodium dodecyl sulfate.

Yes yes exfoliate really really well and try Argan oil! Get the real thing though from a health food store. Argan oil does wonders for skin and hair.
