Lemon juice works by killing acne bacteria on your skin! Also lemon juice works by stopping signals to the immune system to cause inflammation. However ensure that you dilute the lemon juice with some water because remember lemon contains acid x

It only burns if you have sensitive skin. It tends to work more on darker skin tones as my friend who is of a dark skin did this and it worked compared to my Caucasian friend so it all depends on you and your skin really x

Yes it does but it burns and irritates your skin.

Do NOT put it on your skin. It is acidic and it will burn whether or not you skin is sensitive. It's very harsh, and it breaks down the layers of your skin.

Yes! Sorry you're dealing with acne Nicolet, I've had it too. My skin is a bit sensitive, and oxy type creams only made things worse for me. Rub lemon juice on your face let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes. I just slap a wedge around my skin, but you can dilute the juice with a bit of water if you're nervous. Then put a thin layer of real honey on your skin for 10 to 20 minutes, then wash with a gentle cleanser. The lemon is most important and fast, so you can do the honey less if you don't have time. Even if you can only do each of these things for five minutes each day before you wash your face on the morning, you will really see a big difference! The lemon helps to dry out the pimples and fade any discoloration from them. Honey also moisturizes, keeps oil bay and it has natural antibacterial properties that kill those little red monsters! Fast, cheap and all natural cures that I wish I knew about years ago! Good luck!!:D.

Plain and simple Answer... NOPE.

Lemon/Lime/Citrus whether it be in a form of an oil, diluted, mixed etc.
should NEVER ever be used on the skin. They are irritating ingredients that are phototoxic as well. They potentially damage the skin's protective layer which in terms can contribute to more break-outs, make your skin prone to infections, cause hyper pigmentation and other issues. If citrus fruits can deteriorate and destroy your teeth, why would it be a good idea to take a lemon with some sugar and scrub away at your face?
You can achieve the results of using citrus through safer means. There is NOTHING that lemons/limes/citrus fruits can do for your skin that cannot be achieved by using safe ingredients like jojoba oil, rosehipoil, serums, and other skin safe methods.

Wow Kitty! I've never heard that before, it's good to know😳 I've had such luck with it, it's the best thing for stopping my breakout cycle. Could it be different ethnicity and skin types? I certainly don't want people to harm their skin just because it works for me! Thanks for the input😊
